BIM and Design go hand in hand

AFL is glad to be part of student education again. This time it was in Liverpool University. I was invited by Mr Martin Simpson who has a very interesting programme for his student.

I showed how Dynamo-Scripts created by me improve AFL workflow. This time it was focused on Sport where I showed to students what is the process.

Below there is a quick video of the presentation where show the basic rules to design a bowl. Computanting Design and technology help to design the most officiant design which help the client to get the best product.

As we could not explain everything we focus on:

- Profile maker with superiser or not.
- General Shape for any type of bowl or scenario (no matter existing or new) which give you the key information and constrain of the design.
- Analyses of the C-Value on the bowl.
- Serious Obstruction Seats as well as Partial Obstruction views.
- Calculate automaticly the Vomitories and allow you to customize then (location, size number of then per Gangway Grid) according with designer's desire.
- Report Information as number of seat per block and per escape, etc.

Also, another topic about how to clinic functional spaces was explained.

We realise the technology help and improve the "We've Always Done it This Way", it is time to push our boundaries, open our minds, see the benefits as we do not evolve we die (including myself). Evolve make us valuable.
